Entrance to Hyde Park

Hyde Park

The Devil’s Elm was or is (there is some degree of uncertainty as to whether it still exists) a tree with a deadly reputation, for it would bring death to tramps that slept under it or nightmare to ‘respectable people’. A phantom coach and horses was also said to drive past it.
